Thank you for our busiest quarter yet!
What a quarter! I'm thrilled to announce that we've experienced the most significant growth in our company's history, nearly doubling last year's performance at this time. A heartfelt thank you to all our herd members for their unwavering support, and a warm welcome to all the new members joining us.
I feel there are several factors that played into so many new herd members joining, and I wanted to touch on a few of them:
- People are getting tired of losing money to the big guys. Purple Cow offers the same internet experience as the big guys for half the price, and our customer support just keeps getting better. In fact, we are bringing on 10 new people to the customer success team this month to prepare for the busy summer we anticipate.
- The sale of Citywide's customers to Telus, positions Purple Cow as one of the last local providers. We are committed to staying local, and I think Maritimers really value this. In fact, I even asked ChatGPT about well-known characteristics and trends related to consumer behavior in the Maritimes, and supporting local businesses is one of them. The day the news broke that Citywide sold their customers to Telus, we welcomed about 200 new herd members in just one day. Being from the Maritimes myself, supporting local businesses is something we naturally do and are often disappointed when an American company or a big conglomerate comes in, buys up a local business, takes the customers, and shuts the business down.
- Playful marketing! We recently went through a rebrand and added some new members to our marketing team who I personally feel have been killing it. They are creating really fun videos and billboards. With our business named "Purple Cow", we have much flexibility in our marketing and are not stuck in a box. One minute we can talk about wanting to "Hook up with you," and the next, we’re saying that our prices are more stable than some world leaders. Purple Cow is an agent for change, and we just happen to be changing the internet industry. Check out an example of the playful ads below!
We are truly committed to every herd member and try to do everything we can to help as many people as possible. This is not just a business; it's the funnest, most enjoyable thing I have ever done—building out the herd—and it wouldn’t be so fun without all of you supporting our mission. We don’t take your trust lightly, and we are relentlessly working to reduce costs and increase our services to you.
